Free Water Testing ServicesUpdated a day ago

Get expert recommendations for your home water — no charge, no guesswork.

At Water eStore, we're here to help you get safe, clean water for your family. Whether you already have lab results or need help collecting a water sample, we offer two free services to assess your water and give you expert, personalized recommendations.

Option 1: Send Us Your Water Sample

If you're unsure about your water quality, you can send us a sample and we'll test it for you at no cost.

Here’s how to send your sample:

  1. Use a clean plastic container — ideally sterile. Avoid glass or old food bottles.

  2. Collect about 500 ml of water (about 2 cups or the size of a soda can).

    • Try not to touch the inside of the cap or bottle when filling.

  3. Label the container with your name, the date, and where the sample was taken (e.g. kitchen tap).

  4. Ship your sample to:
    Water eStore Water Testing
    1004 King Street
    Midland, Ontario L4R 0B8

  5. Include the following in your package:

    • Your name

    • Your email address

    • Your full mailing address

    • Any concerns you have about your water (e.g. smell, color, taste)

👉 Pro tip: Please also complete our New Customer Intake Form — it only takes 5 minutes and gives us helpful context so we can give you the best recommendations possible.

Once we receive your sample, we’ll run a standard analysis and email you a full report with tailored next steps.

What We Test For

We’ll check for common water quality indicators, including:

  • Hardness (calcium and magnesium)

  • Iron and manganese (which can cause staining)

  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)

  • Tannins

What We Don’t Test For

To set expectations:

  • We don’t test for lead, arsenic, nitrates, or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in-house.

  • We also don’t perform certified lab testing for legal or real estate purposes.

If you're concerned about any of these, we recommend sending your water to a certified local lab first and then sending us the results (see Option 2 below).

Option 2: Already Have a Water Test? We’ll Review It

If you've had your water tested at a local lab or through another service, we can help you make sense of the results and what to do next.

Here’s how it works:

  • Upload your test results here, or email them to us at [email protected]

  • Our team will review your report and follow up with expert guidance on the right system or filters for your home
